Dubai’s business landscape continues to attract significant international investment, with Indian companies leading the surge in new business registrations at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first three quarters of 2024, according to recent data.

The analysis conducted by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which operates under Dubai Chambers, reveals that 12,142 new Indian companies joined the chamber’s membership between January and September 2024, maintaining India’s position as the top source of new non-Emirati businesses.

Pakistani businesses emerged as the second-largest group of new registrants, with 6,061 companies joining the chamber during the same period.

Egyptian enterprises secured the third position with 3,611 new registrations, demonstrating the strong commercial ties between Dubai and North Africa.

Syrian businesses showed a notable presence with 2,062 new company registrations, placing fourth in the rankings.

The United Kingdom maintained a strong showing in fifth place with 1,886 new businesses, while Bangladesh secured the sixth position with 1,669 new company registrations.

The data further reveals that Iraqi businesses claimed the seventh spot with 1,346 new members, followed by Chinese enterprises in eighth place with 1,109 new registrations.

Jordanian companies ranked ninth with 1,069 new members, while Sudanese businesses rounded out the top ten with 1,007 new registrations during the first nine months of 2024.

Sectoral analysis of the new registrations shows a clear dominance of the trade and services sector, which accounted for 41.5 per cent of all new memberships.

The real estate, renting, and business services sector emerged as the second most popular category, representing 33.3 per cent of new registrations.

Construction sector businesses claimed the third position, accounting for 10.4 per cent of new memberships, while the transport, storage, and communications sector secured fourth place with 8.6 per cent of new registrations.

The social and personal services sector completed the top five, representing 6.8 per cent of new member companies.
